Projects
Services, platforms, and prototypes of HandS Lab for studying how people and AI interact. Access to projects is by request.
Each project page describes the question, the use scenario, the status, the roles of the system and of the person, and the limits of use.
HandS Lab research tools and prototypes are not a catalog of commercial products. If a specific applied solution involves commercial deployment, it is carried out by an external operator or partner. Terms of use are agreed before you start working with a project.
Project statuses
- Concept
- we are formulating and testing an idea.
- Prototype
- a limited demonstration is available.
- Pilot
- we work in agreed scenarios.
- Available
- access is provided under stated conditions.
- Research
- we are working with a model, method, or hypothesis.
Augment
Support for professional action next to professional judgment. We study how technology can help people notice more, practice, and analyze their own work, while the decisions stay with them.
Perceive
A language for a more attentive description of experience. We work with creative processes, dreams, personal states, and AI answers. We study whether technology can help people notice experience more precisely while the meaning stays with the person.

- SUR-InsightPrototypeDiagnostics of states on the SUR model for a person, a psychologist, and a teamOpen project
- IT SOUNDS LIKEPrototypeA style card of the author's writing, so that AI helps with a text in the author's own mannerOpen project
- MEZHAPrototypeShows where an AI answer speaks for the person and where it leaves the decision to themOpen project
Immerse
Shared rhythm and the right to pause. We study whether a digital environment can support attention, presence, and contact with one’s own state when there are no engagement metrics around it.
Experiment
Stable work of agentic systems. We test whether a pause, unloading the context, and a reminder of limits help bring an agent out of a loop or a dead end in time.
A project status describes the stage of a tool or environment. The maturity of research conclusions is stated separately for each material in the “Research and Standards” section.
