Questions about HandS Lab
Answers regarding projects, research, educational outreach, pilots, and lab participation.
- Can I already use HandS Lab projects?
- Access to projects is by request. Status and access terms are on each project’s page. You can also ask about joining a research scenario or discussing a pilot.
- Does SimTherapy replace an instructor or supervision?
- No. SimTherapy does not replace formal education, supervision, or competency assessment. Simulation is not a substitute for assisting a real client. Learning goals, decisions, and conclusions remain the responsibility of the participant and instructor.
- Why trust your findings?
- We state the status of research materials and distinguish between assumptions, protocols, observations, analyses, and publications. A pilot does not automatically confirm tool utility. We detail what worked alongside limitations and open questions.
- How much does a pilot cost?
- Cost depends on the research question, scenario, and project scope. Before starting, parties agree on a plan, roles, budget, data handling, and completion date. We do not promise that a pilot will necessarily confirm tool utility.
- What happens to pilot participant data?
- Before work begins, parties agree on required data, access permissions, and intended usage. Participants must understand participation terms and data handling procedures. We do not use results as hidden ratings or diagnoses.
- Why is HandS Lab a non-governmental organization?
- HandS Lab operates as an NGO to foster research, educational outreach, and other public-interest activities whose value is not tied to selling a standalone product. This allows us to maintain open materials and publish research findings, even when they do not support initial expectations.
- How to get involved with HandS Lab?
- You can attend an event, join an educational program or community, propose research collaboration, discuss partnership, or express interest in membership. These are distinct involvement formats; one does not automatically grant rights or access associated with another.
- Is a donation considered program tuition or a membership fee?
- No. A donation is a voluntary contribution to support the organization. It does not constitute tuition, community entry fees, membership, or rights to influence research conclusions.
